I'm back!

I just got back from a week in Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam! I had a fantastic time and can't wait to be able to go back! As usual, here's a preview of some of my pictures. Video(s) and links to facebook albums coming soon!

The back of the Palace of Versailles! So huge!
Jen and I in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Glenna and I representing UNI in front of the Arc de Triomphe. Panthers in Paris!
Listening to the wonderful sound of trumpets at the Musical Instrument Museum in Brussels, Belgium.
Brussels is the unofficial capital of the European Union. This is where the parliament meets.
Brussels is famous for comics. and the city has several comic book walls like this one.  Great jumping shot by Glenna of me and Tintin!
On one of several beautiful canals in Amsterdam!
We spent plenty of time taking pictures with the letters of the I amsterdam sign!

Glen and Rach: Tscheppaschlucht Canyon

Rachel got to go zip-lining!
Part of the hike was barefoot. Painful, but kinda cool!
These cups were for drinking from the waterfall. The cups promised Love, Joy, or Courage.
The canyon was beautiful!
Glenna and I in front of the biggest waterfall.

Glen and Rach: Klagenfurt

Glenna finally got to try Wienerschnitzel!
In front of the Lindwurm in Neuerplatz.
I finally made it to the Klagenfurt Dom, which is the city's most famous church!
You'd never guess this was inside that building!
We got Gelato, of course!
We spent all afternoon Saturday at the lake!

Tomorrow I'll post pictures from our adventure in Tscheppaschlucht Canyon!

Graz

This past Saturday I finally made it to Graz, the second biggest city in Austria! Graz is a two hour bus ride away from Klagenfurt and is the capital of the province of Styria.
It was supposed to rain, but fortunately we managed to avoid that until just before we left!
These are some buildings on what appeared to be a main square. A lot of the buildings were decorated  very artfully!
Chandelier in one of the many churches in Graz.
We hiked all the way up to this viewing point. There wasn't a lot at the top except for a restaurant and some party space, but it was a great view!

Wien and Bratislava!

This past weekend I went on an ESN (the exchange student group) program to Vienna and Bratislava, Slovakia! It was a very brief but fun visit.
A set of statues outside a cathedral. Austria is such a musical place!
TEAM GREEN. Part of the ESN trip was  participating in a kind of scavenger hunt across Vienna. Here we were to take a funny picture of our team with these sculpture things.
Here is one of the main shopping streets in Vienna!
The old theatre in Bratislava. It is used now mostly for operas!
I'm told this is a pretty typical Slovkian dish. It's basically potato stuffed noodles covered in a goat cheese sauce. Yum!

Jen and I were very excited to be traveling on the Hogwart's Express!*
*Actually just a regular train with compartments and a old man who was basically Remus Lupin.
